Wudaohu Park was built in 1930, It has been more than 80 years of history so far. Xizhao Hill has been approved as "XiZhao Hill Provincial Egret Nature Protection Area" by provincial government. Nengren Temple full of talents and morning clocking night druming, are built in the early Tang Dynasty with more than 1,300 years of history, it is one of the Buddhist shrine gathered religious pilgrimage, tourism and leisure.Lianshui County Museum is Lianshui iconic cultural buildings that completely showing the history, culture, ethnic, folk culture. 1). Introduction
Wudaohu Park is located in south head of Lianshui LianYi lake, According to historical records, Wudaohu Park is the results of two floods happened during Qing Dynasty. In Qing Qianlong 51 years (1786), the Yellow River submerged the Huai area with water overflowing the Lian Town.In Qing dynasty 32 years (1906), AnDong area happened flood one more time, Lian town happened flood again. Two times floods made Lian Town gradually forming one lake (known as Hou Ao,in 1992 Lianshui County People's Government officially renamed Hou Ao as LianYi Lake.),That some of larger LuXu out of surface formed into small islands. In1924 drought, the county government organized workers to dig deeper and wider into five islands. Early 1930 park was founded. Five islands, from east to west they called the FengLe island, TongLe island, MiGong island, XiYuan island, XiZhao Island. Just like A pair of couplet describe it: "Thousands ares lake five islands star on clouds just like emeralds inlaying in jade plate, ten miles of circle dike thousdands willows, just like edge Changhuai inlaying pearls."Wudaohu Park has a total area of 60.2 hectares, 38.5 hectares of water surface, 21.7 hectares of land. Wudaohu Park are unique amphibious layout and beautiful natural scenery. In August 2007, It was awarded as"Anti-Corruption Education Demonstration Bases in Jiangsu Province" by the provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, Wudaohu Park was approved as "National AAA Tourist Attractions"by the Provincial Tourism Bureau in October 2008.
2). History
After china founded,County government had invested building Wudaohu Park for five times that respectively in 1958, 1987-1988, 1999-2000, 2006-2007, 2014-2015.
In winter 1958, the county government organized thousands workers to dig lake bed into soil mountain called XiZhao Hill which formed Wudaohu Park. Park originally had only Tongle island, XiYuan island with a few brick house that time, later Fengle pavilion was built up in 1982 and MiGong pavilion and XiMo Pond(Ink-Washing Pond)were built up in 1983.But Park still remained in dilapidated appearance.
In 1987,in order to improve the park taste,we invited Suzhou classical garden construction company to plan and design building up the Tongle hall, children's playground, entrance door, veteran club and a number of classical landscape architectures that changed into new look.
During 1999-2000, Wudaohu Park had rectificated based on infrastructure construction, environmental construction and highlights renovation which more than 800 meters of water pipes, cement pavement 1400 square meters, labyrinthine 500 meters, 1,500 meters cables, one set transformer 160kw, installed palace lamp 60pcs, lawn 6 groups; new slope revetment 4000 meters, filling embankment 3000 cubic meters. Environmental Reconstruction is focued on seedling varieties updates and green laying with greening area of 8,000 square meters and planting Ligustrum, red plum, red maple and other species more than ten thousand pieces.building a large leisure plaza --- Wu Dao Plaza. There built two curved bridges on the Tongle hall lake, built ShangYue pavilion, NanYue pavilion. While built the bonsai garden, zoo, children's playground. By developing and regulating, wudaohu park became forming a relatively infrastructure-completed abundant natural landscape park, which was recommended as most important sightpoints for "ten thousands people looking Lianshui" activities with huge social repercussions.
On August 2006, Lianshui county commission and government had Wudaohu Park reformed with clean honest political cultural landscape construction into reformation for fully exploiting the historical cultural characteristics of the park which with Mi Fu and other Lianshui historical clean officials deeds as main clues and relevant historical ruins as basis,melted ancients sparking today, using culture change intellectuals.
Lianchi(clean-honest pond) sights renewed Mi Gong statue,Mi Gong ink-washing pond,Mi Gong gallery, Mi Gong pavilion, There are stone carving graphic in gallery; Using of bonsai garden outwall built into QingFeng wall, there are recorded 11 famous clean honest officials and their stories of lianshui history. QiongHua park idle rooms reformed into RuiMoTang Hall where showing ancient to moden situation of Lianshui and clean government establishment and set up audio-visual education room for playing Audio-visual related party ethos or general mood and clean government construction.These landscape connected to XiZhao Hill, lotus ponds and other natural landscape formed into allegorical landscape of culture and becoming a major attraction and an important base for clean government education and leisure tourism.
Project started on August 26, 2006 which get highly attention from city and county leaders and Former party secretary Ding Jiemin pleasantly titled lian pond landscape, and made poem: "MiGong wash ink to clean honest,story spreads millennium, pass word of pragmatic truth for people, keeping clean in the world."
Lian pond landscape was opened on March 21, 2007. JiangSu Provincial Committee and Discipline Committee Leadership Feng Ming Gang, Huaian municipal Party committee secretary Ding Jiemin attended the openning ceremony. Feng MinGang secretary said: "It is a very successful practice that Puting Lianshui old park reforming combined with clean honest official culture construction ." China writer, "poetry" editor, Provincial Writers Association Vice-President Zhao Kai went to lian pond, facing ink-washing pond water that soft as black jade, praised MiGong clear honest character, the poet praised that Lian pond is put lake and islands as the carrier base and combined natural beauty and humanities beauty into one to make clean honest official cultural access to mental quality taste.
In order to improve environment and service quality of Wudaohu Park, under the many pressures and difficults of no waiting, no depending on, shortage of funds, less time, large projects, All of workers made efforts on constructing 3A-class tourist attractions. Centred on tourist traffic, environmental health, ecological protection and other nine systems engineering It was well organized and sciencely build with step by step. Accumulated paving cobblestones road 760 square meters; casting seat 12pcs; bins 15 pcs, embankment more than 300 square meters, paving lawn 300m², planting trees and grass area 120m². LianShui county government carry out "three-year action plan of urban and rural construction," centered on "One Lake Four Rivers" urban river system, start "connecting water, running water, transparent water, nice water" project, building urban river landscape to make Lianshui into one hydrophilic city in 2014. According to the location and environment and planning and site conditions, Wudaohu Park was orientated as"urban living room centered on water"and five islands spots that through building "5 areas 10 sights" to improve the quality and image of park and showing out "four sides peach octahedrals willows, one building half garden". [Lian Yi Qin Bo] Song dynasty famous writer Su Shi poem 'butterflies Love Flowers . Lianshui Army present to Zhao Hui Zhi":"From ancient to now ripples matching landscopes, going around lotus, matching to Wu Xing ... "in Su Shi's poem, Lianshui town is a beautiful city that could surpassed to WuXing" Going around Lotus ". [MiaoTong Magic lights] Qing Dynasty Emperor YongZheng book "Annals of Anton County," records: "MiaoTong Tower was built in SongRenZong year that the place of keeping Buddha relic that reported built by Luban, seven Buddha that was made of bricks and stones without woods supported. "Looking from the top, Yellow River looks just like line, light shining covered dozens kilometers away", called as "Magic Lights." MiaoTong towers was destroyed in war of July 7, 1948. Lianshui Government decided to rebuild the site as original old appearance In 1998. [QingShanXiZhao] XiZhao Hill is located in the LianYi lake, is the westest island among the five islands in WoDaoHu Park. Built in 1958, repaired in 1983. Area of 11.2 acres,lie in northeast - southwest direction, slightly undulating terrain surrounded by water and rich forest resources on the island, green coverage rate more than 90%, 51 families and 137 species of trees, silent, quiet. Since the nineties... a large numberb of birds habitated here. After test that 16 orders and 33 families 115 species of birds live on here.1 species bird belongs to the national protective species, secondary protection 10 species, there are 17 provincial protective species ,62 species are listed in the China and Japan Birds Protection Agreement provides for the protected birds among them, nine species are listed in protected of China-Australia Migratory Birds Agreement Provides for protected birds which especially in the countries Protection 2 level of Birds --- Egret.
Lianshui county government officially named XiZhao Hill as county level Bird protection area on December 1, 1993. The number reached more than 6,000 birds that year. Provincial government approved menstruation (Su Zheng reply [2002] 97 ) officially upgraded XiZho Mountain Nature Reserves as provincial nature protective area on August 2002. It circled radius of XiZhao Hill 34.33 square kilometers. When the sun sets and colorful glow shining on the verdant mountain, tens thousands of egrets were dancing in the flowing clouds, flying with falling clouds that made out magnificent sights.
[MoChiFeiWu ]Bei SongShaoSheng 4 year (1097), Dr. TaiChang Mi Fu was sent to Lianshui supporting army two years, give people more political benefits, his official bag was empty. Before his departure, he washed writing brush in the pond showing himself innocence. Lianshui people commemorated him by titling” Mi Gong ink-washing ponds”.
There is always a thin Flying Mist linger in ink-washing pool after Mi Fu left, People could see the MiGong washing writing brush image in the faint mist of every morning. This is the legend story of "MoChi FeiWu". "MoChi FeiWu" has become one of the most famous Eight landscapes.
[TongLe Chun Feng] TongLe Hall was built in 1937 for Wang Depu. In 1935 Lianshui, bandits rampaged made people in extreme misery. while Wang Depu inspected Huaiyin and He was familiar with local situations, he sent MaDengYun commander lead his troops go around and inspect the district of Lianshui, He only spent three months cleanning up all bandits to keep the area in peace. He appointed Zhao Yu Xing working in Lianshui for two years to develop better and get rid of disadvantages, so the Army, agricultural, industrial, commercial situations changed into the best. So LianShui people publicly discussed to build a halls with 5 rooms called "TongLe Hall" in the place surrounded by water of the WuDaoHu park meaning "Offical Wang like and dislike as same as people, worry and get fun as same as people". Lianshui county government decided to invite Suzhou Garden Bureau to design and invite Suzhou classical construction company to reconstruct the broken Tong Le Hall in May,1986. Lianshui Famous Writers --- "Red Sun" author Wu Qiang was invited to write the horizontal inscribed board for Tong Le Hall in September 1987.
It is very commendable that Governor have the same" likes and dislikes, commonly worries and funs" with people. Titling "TongLe" meaned Lianshui people respected and admired and miss him. Reconstruction showed Lianshui people deeply respected to those past officials benefited to people and area , never forgetting their political benefits.

QiongHua Garden-QiongHua Garden is a typical courtyard. There are 3 boxes of halls in North East west each sides. The corner of pink wall black roof, red pillars engraved windows, wrap corners cornice connected to verandas, 3 Boxes of rooms on east are Rui Mo Tang, now is the Honest and Clean government cultural hall. The words "Rui Mo Tang" and "QiongHua garden" are taken from Mi Fu's handwriting. There are planting ginkgo, papaya and other valuable trees, flower beds planted Viburnum center, plastic elm in the Courtyard. Kunshan City and Lianshui County became friendly city, when the Kunshan government delegations sent Lianshui one Qiong flower planting in this garden named Qiong Hua garden. Qiong lower is Kunshan city’s flower. Each year April, flower are blooming as silver snow in February 1996. Today,The flower has became symbol of friendship between KunShan people and Lianshui people.
Fengle Pavilion
It was built at the end of 1982, while Sun BuTan worked as Lianshui County official, cornices made of brick and wood.Titled "Fengleting" was quoted Song writer Ouyang Xiu, "Fengle Pavilion" means to celebrate Lianshui agriculture having been harvest for eight years.
MiGong Pavilion
It was built at the end of 1982, while Sun BuTan worked as Lianshui County head In 1982, ZhaoPuChu wrote The MiGong pavilion plaque. MiGong means Mi Fu, Name Yuan Zhang, Hubei Xiangyang, famous painter In Northern Song Dynasty.Song Huizong appointed him as painting Dr. Yuanwai officer of Li Department , called Mi Nan Palace. Shaosheng four years (1097), As Dr. TaiChang working in Lianshui army for two years, issued more political benefits. Appointed time end, official bag was desolate. He had gone, Lianshui people built pavilion to remember him titled MiGong pavilion. For thousands years, MiGong pavilion experianced rise and fall.
5). Horticulture
Bonsai Park covers area of 2,500 square meters, which is an important horticultural cultivation base in wudaohu Park. There are one glass greenhouse, various flower pots 1500 pots, 120 bonsai pots, annual producing 20,000 flower pots, scarlet sage, petunia, chrysanthemum, There held two times of chrysanthemum shows in 1995, 1996.We grafte Da Li Ju with wild Artemisia annua rootstock that a pce grafting out more than 200 flowers, flower diameter reach 1.5M. bonsai production is mainly carried out through the introduction of blanks pile banding and trim. Currently. Wudaohu Park flower production are for main festival exhibition needs.
